About Me
Hi There!
Hi, My Name is Katiravan Subarayan. I am a 62 years old retired building manager and electrician, and a proud Malaysian.
I am currently on an adventurous solo journey around the world - just me and my BMW R1200RS motorbike, which I have named 'Parameswara'. It was named after the last King of Singapura (present day Singapore), who later became the founder of the State of Malacca (my hometown in Malaysia).
On the 2nd of January 2023, I embarked on a solo world motorbike tour, which started from Batu Caves, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, my home country. The journey is estimated to take a duration of 1 year and eight months, as I plan to travel to 106 countries. I have since travelled for more than 250 days, and entered 27 countries across Asia, and Europe, as well as Australia and Russia.
I am currently (as of Sept 2023) in North America, and will continue my tour to Central and South America. As I plan to visit 106 countries, I will then head to South Africa, then to Eastern Europe, Middle East, Central Asia and finally South East Asia, as I head back home, to Malaysia.

In 2018, in preparation for this world tour, I had completed a 64 day solo motorbike tour to 7 countries in Asia, which included Thailand, Myanmar, India, Bhutan, Nepal, Pakistan and Bangladesh.

On this world tour, I hope to create awareness about the effects of global warming and the importance of saving and preserving nature. I encourage everyone to plant a tree to commemorate every important event and milestone in one's life.
On this journey so far, I have participated in tree-planting activities in Timor-Leste, Australia, Japan and Russia, while my friend Shawn Bhatti, took the initiative to plant a tree at a forest in Finland. None of this could have been achieved without the support of the local people. In fact, all of it were initiatives taken by them and I am happy to have played a small part in it.

I look forward to planting more trees as I continue my journey around the world!
