Day 210 (30 July 2023) - Rome to Milan, Italy
DAY 210 (30 JULY 2023) – I left Rome for a 7 hour (527 kms) journey to Milan.
The roads seemed to be busy with traffic and many rest areas and petrol pumps were crowded. I met some friendly Italian bikers at a petrol station.
At a rest area, it was interesting to see a truck driver drying his clothes in the bonnet compartment, using heat generated from a running truck engine! I made friends with the friendly truck driver who invited me to check out his truck.
It took me 9 hours to reach Milan due to traffic and there was a long queue at the toll booth.
I spent 35 minutes queueing up at the toll booth, which came to a cost of 40.10 euros (RM 201.50) for motorbikes.
