Day 057 (27 Feb 2023) - Darwin, Australia
DAY 057 (27 FEB 2023) – I reached Darwin, Australia yesterday evening. Today, I spent the day exploring the city.
Darwin is the smallest and wettest of all Australian capital cities in the country. In fact it was raining heavily the whole morning! I only managed to go about the city in the afternoon after the rain had stopped.
As I walked along the Bicentennial Park that has a beautiful sea view, I could see many huge trees that looked old but were very well kept.
I also came across a bird feeding and bathing station that has been around since 1988 – what an amazingly unique idea!
The city streets and parks are very clean and well maintained. They have good public amenities – even the public toilets look sophisticated!
