Day 234 (23 Aug 2023) - Cairnryan at Stranrear, Scotland to Belfast, Northern Ireland to Dublin, Ireland
DAY 234 (23 AUG 2023) – After breakfast at the hostel, I left for the ferry terminal in Cairnryan, Stranraer, just 15 minutes away. At 11.30 am, I boarded the ferry for a 2 ½ hour journey to Belfast, the capital city of Northern Ireland. The one-way ferry ticket cost me 56 euros (RM 282).
Upon arrival at Belfast, I made sure to fuel up my motorbike before heading for a 2 hour (170 km) ride to Dublin, the capital city of the Republic of Ireland. The petrol price was much cheaper here than in Europe and UK.
This time, I travelled on the left side of a tolled-highway, just like back home. The toll charge came to about 1.10 euros (RM 5.50) for motorcycle. I arrived safely at my hostel and spent the evening exploring the vibrant and lively city of Dublin.
I had dinner at a Indian restaurant in the city.
