Day 235 - Stepping into the Past: Exploring the Timeless Beauty of Dublin's Historical Churches

Updated: Sep 27, 2023

Day 235 (24 Aug 2023) - Dublin, Ireland

DAY 235 (24 AUG 2023) – Among the stops were several churches, including the historical Christ Church Cathedral that was originally built in the 11th century and has subsequently gone through various rebuilds and renovations, giving it the form it is today.

I also took the opportunity to visit the St Patrick’s Cathedral, founded in 1911 as a Roman Catholic Cathedral. The church serves as the national cathedral of the Church of Ireland, but it is also open to public as an architectural and historical site.

I was mesmerised by the magnificent architecture and beauty of this historical structure, and the serene atmosphere within the cathedral.

I had Mexican food for lunch and Hawaiian Pizza for dinner. I stayed at the Abbey Court Hostel in Dublin, for a whopping 133.60 euros (RM 673) for 2 nights, breakfast included! It was the cheapest hostel I could find at that time. I also managed to find a paid private parking, about 400 meters from the hostel.
