Day 142 - 'Annyeonghi gaseyo' (Farewell) South Korea: Setting Sail to Russia on My Last Day

Updated: Oct 1, 2023

Day 142 (23 May 2023) - Donghae Ferry Terminal, South Korea to Vladivostok, Russia

DAY 142 (23 MAY 2023) – Reflecting on my experiences in South Korea, I spent a total of just 7 days and covered 800 kilometres, completing my entire riding journey in the Land of the Morning Calm!

At first, I travelled by ferry over the sea and arrived in Busan, South Korea from Fukuoka, Japan. After spending 2 nights in Busan, I left for Bongbang-dong, and then to Seoul, the capital city of South Korea. I spent 2 nights in Seoul before arriving at my final stop in Donghae.

Despite the unavailability of GPS Navigation and Google Map at the beginning of my journey, I successfully completed my ride as planned, with the help of Waze. Although the app was not very accurate, I still managed to find my way to my destination.

It was too short a journey to meet new people and make friends, but I will never forget the kindness and generosity of strangers in my time of need. Now that I'm done with Asia (at least for now), I look forward to my next adventure in Russia, with both nervousness and excitement at the same time!
