Day 136 (17 May 2023) - Busan, South Korea
DAY 136 (17 MAY 2023) – Spent the day exploring Busan city. In the evening, I went to Haeundae, about 8 km from my hotel.
Haeundae Beach is a famous beach in Busan. It is a big city beach with a long stretch of rough white sand surrounded by high rise buildings. As a beach by the city, the place is always busy with visitors enjoying the view and cool breeze of the sea and the vibrancy of the city, particularly at night.
I arrived in Busan just in time to see the Haeundae Sand Festival held annually around this time of the year. The sand arts on display look amazing against the backdrop of the sea!
It is the nation’s largest eco-friendly exhibition on sand where sand sculptors / artists around the world showcase a display of artistic transformation of sand, based on a yearly theme.
