Day 180 (30 June 2023) - Moscow, Russia!
DAY 180 (30 JUNE 2023) – Since the weather forecasted rain today, Sergei and I headed to Moscow city by car. It was about an hour drive from his home without traffic.
We then took the Moscow subway heading towards the city center.
Moscow is the capital city and the largest city in Russia. It has a mix of modern and historical buildings with stunning display of Russian architecture!
The Moscow Kremlin and Red Square was closed to public for 9 days for security reasons, owing to the political events that unfolded last weekend.
However, with Sergei’s help, I managed to get a closer view of this 15th century old UNESCO World Heritage Site from behind the barricades.
I got to see the amazing Spasskaya Tower and the iconic 16th century old St Basil’s Cathedral, known for its colourful onion-shaped domes.
