Day 181 (01 July 2023) - Moscow, Russia
DAY 181 (01 JULY 2023) – After breakfast, I had some fresh sweet strawberries plucked from Sergei’s mini garden.
We then visited his machinery shop where I met some of his friends. I finally met Sergei’s son, Alexander who is a mechanical engineer.
On the way, I stopped to wash my motorbike but Sergei graciously offered to help and refused to let me wash it myself.
Later, we headed to the S.F Romanova school in the town of Zhukov, for a tree-planting activity. Sergei’s youngest daughter, Victoria studies at this school. This time, we planted a tree at a school, for a change. The school director, Madam Natalya was also present to show her support.
We planted a Lilac tree. It will take a few years for the tree to grow and it can last up to 100 years! As the tree grows, it will eventually bloom into colourful flowers with sweet scents.
I am happy to be a part of this initiative taken by Sergei, Madam Jurate and the school management.
I took the chance to tour around this amazing school that caters to students from the age of 7 to 18 years of old.
I visited a mini museum at the school where they kept old war relics. There was also a display of Russian traditional attire at the museum.
