Day 273 (01 Oct 2023) - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA

DAY 273 (01 OCT 2023) (continued) – After an amazing lunch, we returned to the Hindu temple for a tree-planting activity.

Mr Kartik had sponsored 2 trees to be planted within the temple compound, namely the “Cherry Subhirtella Weeping” tree and the “Monrovia (Nitty Gritty Red Rose)” tree. Both are flowering trees that grow quickly and produce colourful flowers.

I officially handed over the trees to the temple committee. We could not plant the tree since we didn’t have a hoe (tool) and the stores we closed on a Sunday. Mr Kartik will plant them in the next few days.

Later, the both of us, headed to Madam Aruna’s home for tea, about 3 kilometres from the temple. Madam Aruna's husband was in Hyderabad at the time of my visit. I also mingled with her 2 wonderful children.
